Jefferson County
Burrville Cider Mill — Watertown
A working cider mill, which is half the fun: they typically press Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, with the best viewing mid-morning. Cider donuts, a farm store, and the falls looking good in foliage season. 18176 County Route 156, (315) 788-7292. They post updates on their Facebook page (“Fans of Burrville Cider Mill”).
Martin’s Greenhouse & Produce — Philadelphia
Their Fallfest runs fall Saturdays — for 2026 that’s September 19 & 26 and October 3 & 10, 9 to 5, rain or shine. Mostly indoors, no pets, and some vendors are cash-only. 32299 US-11, (315) 642-6200.
St. Lawrence County
Applewood Orchards — Rensselaer Falls
U-pick fruit, a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, a playground, and the Apple Barn Market. Open daily 10–5 through September and October. 176 Johnson Road, (315) 344-7002.
Kaneb Orchards — Massena
36 apple varieties, plus an award-winning hard cider from their cider house (fall only), fresh cider, cider donuts, and baked goods. Opened for the 2026 season August 28; Friday through Sunday, 10–5. 182 Highland Rd, (315) 769-2880.
Goodwin’s Orchard — Potsdam
Family-run since 1990: U-pick, a farm stand, fresh cider, baked goods, and pumpkins. 37 Needham Rd, (315) 265-6161.
Parishville Center Orchard — Parishville
U-pick and pre-picked apples (Honeycrisp, Cortland, Mac), a roadside stand, fresh cider, and cider donuts daily. Their September posts show Friday-through-Sunday hours — check their Facebook page (Parishville Center Orchard) for the current weekend before heading out. 702 NY-72, (315) 212-7057.
Canton Apple & Cider — Canton (hours unconfirmed)
Heirloom apples, fresh-pressed ciders, and a farm stand at 339 State Highway 310. They hosted events through September 2026, but their website is down — check their Facebook page for current hours before you go.
Lewis County
Denmark Gardens Apple Orchard — Denmark
Lewis County’s only U-pick orchard, by their own description — 745 trees, plus a playground and cider. Their site says they look forward to seeing everyone this fall. 10080 Old State Road, (315) 771-4354.
Worth the drive: Mexico, NY (Oswego County)
Technically outside our three counties — but close enough that plenty of Jefferson County folks make the trip south.
Behling Orchards — Mexico
Five generations growing fruit since 1947: 200-plus acres, nearly 80 apple varieties (including their own Jenna Blush), and cider made the old-fashioned way in a rack-and-cloth mill, mid-September through November. For 2026, U-pick opened September 4th — Honeycrisp, Ginger Gold, Sweet Maia, Macs, Cortland, Gala — open 9–5 daily, with a kids’ Playland and a barn store selling pie, donuts, and caramel apples. 114 Potter Road, (315) 963-7068. Also nearby: Appledale Orchards (5987 State Route 3) lists a corn maze, weekend hayrides, and U-pick apples among its offerings — check their site for current fall hours.
A couple of notes: Lewis County is genuinely thin on public pick-your-own options — Denmark Gardens is the verified one. And two Lowville-area names you might remember, Owls Landing Farm and Evergreen View Farm, aren’t fall destinations this year (the former is retiring its orchard; the latter is Christmas trees).
