Zoo New York’s Halloween celebration returns to Thompson Park for a second weekend, this year with a new dinosaur theme. The zoo stays open on its regular hours with trick-or-treat stops along the paths — costumes encouraged — while the animal exhibits run as usual.

Boo at the Zoo runs during regular zoo hours, 10 AM to 5 PM (last ticket sold at 4:30 PM). General admission is $12 for adults (ages 13–65), $9 for ages 3–12, and free for ages 2 and under; seniors get 10% off and military and veterans 20% off. Trick-or-treating carries a $5 fee in addition to admission.

Planning more Halloween stops? Our Northern New York Halloween guide rounds up the season’s haunted houses, trails, and trunk-or-treats across the tri-county.
